AJ MATTIOLI
Founder
Times Square Gossip, (AJ) “could very well be considered the voice of the LGBT community in the independent film world.”
AJ Mattioli (He/Him) is a Queens born, NYC based, Trans Producer/Director with 16+ years in the entertainment industry.
His work has been celebrated at the Queens Museum, The United Nations, The NY Times, The Advocate, Huffington Post, Gay Star News, Go Magazine, and many others!
As the go-to Trans Producer for Queer filmmaking, he’s worked with some of the hottest LGBTQ+ celebs, including Sasha Velour, Shakina Nayfack, Bob The Drag Queen, Cory Wade, Rain Dove, Vincent DePaul, Carmen Carrera, Miss Fame, and many more.
Mattioli Distribution is working with numerous LGBTQ+ owned outlets as a part of their "keep your money rainbow" initiative.
AJ stands with the Black Lives Matter movement and believes that positive representation matters.
As a "pay it forward" company we donate a portion of profits to charity.
STEVE WOLF
EXECUTIVE PRODUCER
Steven Wolf (He/Him) is a NY native working in the entertainment business for almost 2 decades. He has produced and acted in Mattioli's films "Guys at Parties Like It," "Killer Unicorn," "Role of a Lifetime," "The Coffee Shop," "Lady Peacock," and "Gays: The Series.
When he's not Producing, he works as the Assistant Production Manager and Lighting Supervisor for Queens Theatre, where we have filmed several of our films.
JOSE ALVAREZ
CO-PRODUCER
Jose Alvarez (He/Him) is a Colombian born, New York-based award winning film & theatre writer and producer. Jose is mostly known for cult classic, queer slasher film "Killer Unicorn", as well as the upcoming "Guys at Parties Like It."
Some of José's other production credits include the short films "A Single Evening" (2020), "Tumble Dry" (2019), "Neon Boys" (2019), and Sasha Velour's "One Dollar Drag's" (mostly unreleased) series. "S&M Records" is currently in production.
Jose Perez
CO-EXECUTIVE PRODUCER
Jose Manuel Perez (He/Him) is thrilled to be involved in the Film industry with AJ, a long time friend. Films with Mattioli Production include "Guys at Parties Like It" and "Night Disclosure" On and Off Broadway producer credits include Something Rotten, You’re a good Man Charlie Brown, Albums ”Peter Pan Live!”,”The Wiz Live” and “From Broadway With Love: A Benefit Concert for Orlando. ” Jose fought tooth and nail to complete his college degree as a Biochemist. Born and raised in NYC 1st generation Puerto Rican(dreamer)who was told at a very young age”not all of us can go to college- kid”. Thank you professor Bradshaw for not believing in him.
SARAH SCHETTER
EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
Sarah Schetter (She/Her) is an entertainment professional with 20 years’ experience that spans film, live performance, photography, and education. Originally from Ohio, she has called NYC her home since 2002 after graduating from Ithaca College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatrical Production. Whether her position is that of a technical director, stage manager, set fabricator or photographer, Sarah’s passion is to actualize artistic visions and empower the voices of others. Sarah has been working with Mattioli Productions since their first film.
RHI COLLINS
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
Rhi Collins (They/Them) is a Non-Binary Queer 1st Assistant Director based in Brooklyn, NY. Rhi takes pride in freelancing with LGBTQIA+ film crews and making Queer Independent Films. Some of their 1st AD work includes the well renowned "These Thems" Webseries as well as "Sideways Smile" (Webseries,) and "S&M Records" Short film.
CORY GREEN
DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY
Cory Green (He/Him) is a NYC based, Canadian born cinematographer with 10 plus years of experience. Cory has shot and edited several award-winning shorts, docs, feature films, and music videos. Recent recipient of the International Film and Television Award for his short doc "Pheel the Love" by Sports Illustrated. He has shot for HBO's Emmy award-winning sports doc-series "24/7" and "Road To". He worked for ESPN's "Around the Horn", MTV's "MADE", Cartoon Network, Entertainment Weekly, People, Fortune, Entertainment Tonight, A&E and NBC News.
LEY COMAS
PRODUCTION SOUND MIXER
Ley Comas (They/Them), is a Trans Non-Binary Latinx filmmaker based in NYC. A hybrid from Costa Rica and Dominican Republic. Ley graduated from Binghamton University with a Bachelor in Cinema and Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies and a Master of Fine Arts with a concentration in Documentary Filmmaking at City College. Ley hopes to change the portrayal of misrepresented communities and empower the new generation to use film as a vehicle for social change.

MILLIE LEVAKIS-LUCAS
SOUND DESIGNER
Millie (She/Her) is an Australian Sound Designer with more than 15 years experience and extensive worldwide credits in film, theatre, and events. Additional expertise include; Piano Technician, Production/Stage Manager, Multi-Instrumentalist and Electronic Engineer. Mattioli Productions first welcomed Millie in post-production for Guys At Parties Like It (2021), continuing their regular collaboration.
Jack Lee Bakal
1st ASSISTANT CAMERA
Jack Lee Bakal (He/They) is a nonbinary Assistant Camera based in New York, NY. Telling stories of marginalized communities with other minority filmmakers is his passion. Their film career began in 2018 as a Production Assistant, but they quickly moved into the camera department where they have worked as an AC since. Some of his credits include “The Country Club,” “The Reading,” and upcoming Mattioli Productions short “S&M Records.”
Zeus Haythem Konlan
2nd ASSISTANT CAMERA/ GRIP
Zeus Haytham Konlan (He/Him) is an African born Camera Assistant and Grip. He came to New York at age 13 and has been working in film for the last 6 years. He worked with Mattioli Productions on "Guys at parties Like it" and a few commercials.
